I’m a passionate educator with 13 years of experience teaching mathematics and science. I hold a bachelor’s degree in education specializing in math and science, along with a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction. Over the years, I’ve earned certifications in both gifted education and intervention, allowing me to work with a wide range of learners. My teaching journey has taken me through public and private schools in California, Georgia, South Carolina, and now Japan, where I currently teach at a DoDEA school.

But beyond the classroom, I’m also a military spouse navigating this unpredictable yet exciting journey of constant moves, new communities, and the ever-changing challenges that come with military life. My husband and I met in college, and we’ve been married for 12 years. Right after graduation, he joined the Marine Corps, and since then, we’ve been hopping from base to base, making each PCS (Permanent Change of Station) a new adventure.

We have two incredible, energetic elementary-aged kids who keep us on our toes. As a family, we love exploring new places, trying new foods, and making the most out of every duty station. I know firsthand how overwhelming PCS moves can be—whether it’s organizing household goods, navigating school transitions, or adjusting to a completely new culture overseas. That’s why I created this blog: to share practical PCS tips, checklists, and strategies that I’ve learned along the way, along with educational resources that help parents and educators support student learning no matter where in the world they are.
